Hey Dad - you wanna race?

Hey Dad - which lever is which? I want the one that makes me go faster than the wind. How may RPM's does this engine have? Do you think that I could pop a wheelie?
OK - I think I have this thing figured out. Are you ready for the race of your life? I think I might like to race these 4 wheelers for a living when I get bigger. What do you think Dad?

OK Dad I'm ready - how about you? Everybody better stay out of my way if they know whats good for them. I'm a maniac when it comes to racing 4 wheelers - (if you know what I mean)!!!! You better stay far behind me or you might get hurt!!!

OK Dad - 1----2------3------GO!!! Boy am I leaving you in a cloud of dust. I'm going at least 100 mph - You look like you are riding like a sissy. You will never be a professional rider like that. See you at home.

Trip to Amish country

A few weeks ago Ray & I had to take the car to Luther Ford in Homer City - were we bought it to have the under coating checked and decided to take a ride through Amish Country. We have been wanting to go to the Cheese Factory to get cheese. It is so much better and cheaper than in the grocery stores. And of course I took my camera. The country side is so beautiful. It was a cloudy day - but the pictures still came out pretty good. Below is one of the may beautiful Amish farms in Smicksburg.
The cheese factory is nothing more than a white brick building in the middle of nowhere. On the side of the building there is a sign that says "NO HORSES BEYOND THIS POINT" It was funny to see that - usually you see 'NO TRUCKS BEYONG THIS POINT" They had fresh baked bread for sale. It was still warm - so of course a loaf ended up in my car. Needless to say it didn't last long once it got in the house.

This is a store just outside of Smicksburg. Not sure what they sell there - we didn't stop. It looked like they sold Amish furniture. There were some on display outside the shop.

I was experimenting with taking pictures as we were driving down the road. I got a good shot of the wheels.

This horse and buggy were parked outside of the cheese factory. I would have liked to get a photo of an Amish person - but you are not to take their pictures.

Yes this is a duplicate picture - I forgot what picture's I had uploaded - so it was too late to delete.
Well I hope you liked my trip to Amish Country. Sorry Tia - it was not as entertaining as your trip to Dayton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never to old to get a TAT ! ! ! ! !

Can you believe I went and did it??????????? I was so inspired by Tammy & Steve's TAT's I decided to get one myself. I don't know what all the fuss was about - Steve -. You must have a low tolerance for pain. I didn't have any pain at all - in fact it was a breeze. Thank goodness the tattoo artist was quick - it only took a matter of minutes - and very reasonable. I will take you to get another one when you come if you want. There are all different designs to choose from.

Actually I have a confession to make. IT WAS PAINFUL -
The stencil was pretty sticky and it pulled a little when she took it off. It is air brushed on. Do you really think I would get the real thing???? I just couldn't resist. I'm a big chicken when it comes to pain.

Tribute to Pap

On June 4 2009 our family lost a great man. He was known as - Dad, Daddy, Pap, PapPap, Uncle Ray to all who knew and loved him. He was a hard worker and loved the Lord with all his heart, mind & soul. He adored his kids, grand kids & great grand kids. Where ever they were he was right there with them.
The above picture shows him sitting on the bench looking out over the river with Paige & Hannah - I can hear him telling them stories about the river "When I was a little boy"!!!

Here he is watching Tammy riding the jet ski with one of the girls on it. He loved watching the kids on the river having fun.

Here he is with Tammy at Niagara Falls just coming off the maid of the mist ride. This is the last vacation he took with the kids before they went off to college.

Another picture showing what good memories Tammy had with her grandparents at Niagara Falls.

Chris with his grandparents on their trip to Niagara Falls. Him and Tammy both have such great memories of their Pap.
We will never hear Pap's stories of all the trips he took to - Chewton - (I'm not sure if that was a real place or not) I guess I will have to wait until I am able to see him again and ask. I always remember driving with him to the mountains and seeing the sign "Falling Rock" You guessed it he had a story about the little Indian boy "Falling Rock". Whenever we had to go to New Castle for any reason - he would always ask when you got back - "What's new in New Castle". He always liked to play a game when we would go past Moraine State Park. "How many sailboats are on the lake" he would ask. Chris would always say "A lot Pap". So of course Chris would win no matter how many boats there were. My kids still like to play that game to this day. We were driving to Sharon, PA 4 weeks ago and when we were getting close to the park Chris and Tammy were playing the game.
Pap - you will be missed. Until we see you again - God Bless.
